Friday, January 19, 2018, Evenflo Plumbing was a nominee for Corvallis Business of the year at the 70th annual Celebrate Corvallis Awards. The Business of the Year Award, “Recognizes a business that has made significant contributions to the economic health of the community, including financial contributions, business growth, and the introduction of a new or innovative product(s) or service(s); employee development; sound or innovative business practices; community service; and customer service.”
Everyone that is a part of Evenflo Plumbing is very honored to have been nominated for such a prestigious award.
In the words of Owner Lisa Hardman,
“I am excited for our company to be recognized in the community that I was born and raised in. I have a deep connection here and this has become Jim’s home as well. Jim and I met and he moved Evenflo up from California. I could instantly tell he had a passion and lots of knowledge for the service and repair industry and helping people solve their plumbing problems. He was a one man show operating out of our garage for many years while I was focusing on my cosmetology career. We never thought expanding and hiring was something we wanted to take on. When the economy went down and Jim was over-worked with service calls, we thought there might be plumbers out there in need of work and there was. We began this journey together as I came on to help with the behind the scenes abundance of paperwork and payroll. As we continue to grow, we want to stay strong in the service and repair side of plumbing. It’s not glamorous and the truth is that there are not a lot of plumbers that want to do this work. It is hard to find knowledgeable and willing plumbers that have the same vision and passion that Jim does, but over the years we have managed to pull together a handful of them as well as a devoted office staff. We have a great group and we love them like they are our family. Our goal is to help our customers solve their plumbing needs and emergencies while maintaining high quality work as well as providing our employees with a positive atmosphere and place to work where they can put their families first and work toward their personal goals. As we have grown we are blessed to be able to get more involved in our community and give back to the place I have always loved and the place Jim has grown to love over the past 16 years.”
Although Evenflo did not end up winning the award, we are still very honored by the nomination. It is awesome to see that the hard work that our technicians do for the community does not go unnoticed, as it often feels that it does when working in the service industry. We take this nomination as a sign of what is to come for Evenflo. As we continue to grow we want to continue to provide the best service possible for Corvallis and the surrounding area. We want to continue to keep the family atmosphere that makes Evenflo such a great place to work. We want to keep delivering the service that has landed us the Angie’s List Super Service Award every year since 2012 as well as being the top rated plumbers in the Mid-Willamette Valley. We want to thank all of our valued customers for the support and express the utmost gratitude to the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce for the Nomination. Hopefully we will be back next year, except this time, we hope to walk away with the award. Go with the flo!
